Dear Bet Breira Families, It is with great joy that Mr. Hamel and I introduce ourselves to you as the new directors of Bet Breira School. I had the pleasure of going into some of the classrooms and meeting many of your children. I had lots of “high fives”, saw a wiggly tooth, was challenged to guess a few names, and made some younger students giggle. It could not have been a better reception! Going forward, we have many goals to work towards. One of our main priorities is to hear your needs and address them. …As parents, we can relate to issues that you may face as your children go through various developmental stages. We understand that children’s dispositions may be challenging, while other times they are just a joy; their demeanor can fluctuate, while other moments they become perfectly predictable; and some of their behaviors might be exhausting, while in other situations they keep you feeling energetic. Childhood development is a process. …As professionals, we have years of working with children, parents, and teachers. Mr. Hamel and I will be more than happy to discuss any issues that arise relating to the growth and development of your child. Please feel free to drop us a note, call or meet with us to address your concern, or ask your questions and don’t forget that we are always happy to hear good news as well. Just as child development is a process, with growing pains, growth spurts, and even some setbacks, so too is school development a process. Our school has had the growing pains, growth spurts and even the few setbacks. In the same way that our children need a little extra nurturing at times, so too does Bet Breira School parallel that need. We are so excited to join with you as parents, congregants, educators and supporters of Bet Breira to provide the extra nurturing our school needs at this time. We look forward to working with you as an advocate for your child, as a mentor to your child’s teacher, and as a partner in strengthening the educational process at our wonderful Bet Breira School. We are now a VPK site!All children who turn 4 years old before September 1, 2008, are eligible for this program. We are thrilled to announce that our Smart Boards are installed in Mrs. Prince’s 5th grade class and our library/ computer lab for access by all grades! These electronic white boards will be used to create an engaging 21st-century learning environment for our students. Our teachers are being trained to create thought provoking and challenging curriculum to use these boards to their fullest advantage! |
